The Basics of Wedding Makeup Lessons

The right makeup can transform the look of a lady. The good thing is that it doesn’t need a lot of tools and skills. You can use your fingertips to do the blending and leave out certain products that do not appeal to you. However, if you are applying makeup in preparation for your wedding, you may need to consider wedding makeup lessons. Here are a few things that you can learn in such lessons.

Use a cleanser :- Definitely, you do not want to apply makeup on a dirty skin. Therefore, you need to wash your skin using a gentle cleanser. Alternatively, you can wipe away any impurities on the skin using a toner.

Moisturizer :- The next step will involve applying a moisturizer that will prevent your skin from getting oily. It can also help to dry the patches on the skin and moisturize it. You should then wait for a period of 5 minutes before you can put on the foundation. This will give room for the moisture to sink in.

Foundation :- Put on a light foundation on the skin. Use your fingers to apply a few spots on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and blend with your fingers or foundation brush. Be sure to work on the spots from center going outwards in different directions.

Concealer  :-  Using a pointed brush, dot a little bit in areas with the darkest eye circles. These are at the outer and inner corners of your eyes. In case you find blemishes that are not covered by foundation or do not blend with the skin, you should add a speck. There are different views on whether the concealer should be slightly lighter or of the same color as the skin. However, the concealer should not be lighter by more than one shade from the natural tone. Choose something that is close to the tone of your skin and if you have to err, be sure it is on the lighter side.

Set moisturizer and concealer :- Use a translucent powder to set the moisturizer and concealer. It is advisable to use the velvet-y powder puff instead of the powder brush as the latter can leave behind loose powder. However, if you choose to use the powder brush, you will need to tap off any excess powder.

Appy eyeshadow :- If you are a beginner who is trying out things, you can choose a single and neutral shade such as aubergine or taupe.   Make short and quick swipes across your lid. Use translucent powder to allow the eyeshadow to set .

Eye liner :- Use brown or black pencil to apply eyeliner using short strokes. This is one area where you can experiment as you continue to become confident in your application of the makeup. Remember that factors such as line application, color and texture can affect the look of the peepers. Apply mascara to the lower and upper lashes.
